Xenia Hausner
Xenia Hausner was born in Vienna and grew up in an Austrian artistic family. She studied stage design at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. From 1977 to 1992, she worked as a renowned set designer for international theater and opera productions. In 1992, she began devoting herself entirely to painting. Xenia Hausner is a founding member of the organization Women Without Borders.
Her works have been featured in numerous museum exhibitions, including the Albertina Museum in Vienna, the Museum Franz Gertsch in Burgdorf, the Batliner Art Foundation, the Belvedere in Vienna, the Käthe-Kollwitz Museum in Berlin, the Shanghai Art Museum, the Today Art Museum in Beijing, the Hong Kong Arts Centre, the Museum Würth France in Erstein, the Würth Collection in Oslo, the "Glasstress" exhibition at the Palazzo Franchetti in Venice, as well as the PalaisPopulaire of the Deutsche Bank Collection in Berlin in 2020.
His paintings are part of the collections of the Shanghai Art Museum, the Today Art Museum in Beijing, the Hong Kong Arts Centre, the Albertina Museum in Vienna, the Batliner Art Foundation in Vienna, the Belvedere in Vienna, the Museum Würth in Künzelsau, the Würth Collection in Oslo, the Droege Group in Düsseldorf, the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, the Green Family Art Foundation, the Seven Bridges Foundation in Greenwich/USA, the Steven Bennett Collection in San Antonio/USA and the Serendipity Arts Trust in New Delhi, India.
Xenia Hausner lives and works in Vienna and Berlin.
